baby shower for baby Horrigan

23 January 2011

Joey and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Horrigan, our first niece or nephew! As March 9th approaches, the celebrations have begun. MLK weekend, we – along with a few other friends – hosted a shower at Casa Fante for Laura. Being only 2 weeks after the holidays, it got a bit crazy with all the planning that needed to be done. It also didn’t help that every time I met with my cohost, Heather, we managed to talk about everything under the sun except baby shower things! We eventually did sit down and make some decisions and even constructed the diaper cake before the National Championship game.

Here are a few pictures of the setup at our house.

Here is the beautiful momma-to-be at around 7 months.

One of the gifts from Aunt Jen and Uncle Joey – GO IRISH!

One last gift from the hostesses, which shows the cute, tiny onesie and tiny sock decorations on the windows that I forgot to go over and take a picture of.

We had about 15 people total – a perfect size party for our house. There were good friends, good food and hopefully good times had by all.

We are so thankful to have a home to host these kinds of events in and also for family being so close to celebrate life events with!

What a great spread! You are such a hostess :) Laura is much too tiny to be 7 months pregnant! I can’t wait to see Baby Horrigan! When can we start taking bets on boy vs. girl?

By the way, the wood built-ins in your dining room are growing on me. I once thought you should paint them but now I am loving the wood. They are beautiful! Maybe I should see them in person before I make my final judgment :)
